Studying antiquity would be impossible without a good Ancient Greek-English Dictionary, or in this case English-Greek. Writing Ancient Greek is not a skill that’s easy to come by. Even when I was in graduate school, which technically had a requirement for composition, it was barely offered. It’s hard to do well, and very hard to teach.

The Greek languageis notoriously difficult. Sure, it’s not the hardest languagein the world, probably, but its grammarand vocabularyare detailed. There are tons of different dialects, and each author has his (or her… but mostly his) own style.
Living in a time that allows us to search in English for a variety of Greek words that may fit our intended meaning is priceless.
